Designing for Experience (DfE) was a studio course for undergrads and graduate students at Carnegie Mellon School of Design. The course was structured around research-intensive projects where students explored home, mobile, and social network topics. They developed concepts, and conveyed them through physical and digital prototypes. The course also consisted of two workshops in collaboration with Professor Anne Mundell from the School of Drama. In these workshops, students studied the drama techniques of ritual construction, narrative thinking, and performance parallel to the conceptualization phase in the design process.
